This survey was designed to generate a list of child, family, and community needs related to early literacy and school readiness concerns. Panelists were asked simply to identify, from their own perspectives, the most important issues for children, families, and their communities impacting children's ability to enter school ready to learn. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the Annual Literacy Survey for children and young people aged 9 to 18 allows us to continue building a year-on-year picture of literacy within the UK through the eyes of children and young people.
